The 40Below Public Arts Task Force (PATF) will be hosting its third Ignite Syracuse event on Monday, March 8th, starting at 6:30pm at Bull and Bear pub in Hanover Square.

It is part of a national phenomenon sweeping across major cities around the county.

So what is Ignite Syracuse?

It’s an evening of short talks with some special rules. In “Ignite” each speaker gets 5 minutes - but must have 20 slides and each slide must automatically progress in 15 seconds.

This makes for fun and exciting presentations ranging from just about any topic the speaker can think of.

Besides for that, it is just a fun evening to get together with friends, have some drinks, meet new people, and hear some creative ideas that are floating around Syracuse.

12 Presenters are lined up for the event. Here's who they are and what they have to say:

Courtney Rile - Daylightblue video/photo/design studio
Alberto Acosta - International Museum Institute of New York
Paul Schoeneck - Founder of KICKS clothing
Amber Blanding - Glass Blowing Studio
Travis Adenau - Artist speaking on Legal Graffiti
Robyn Tomlin - "Heat Witch" a video projection
Clayton Stetz - Creating a Hackerspace
John Peck - Marketing using social media
Mark Povinelli - Artist/Engineer speaking on What is Public Art Anyway?
Maarten Jacobs - Artist speaking on new art installation
Corky Goss - Muralist and Artist
Peter Michel - Sculptor
